Yellow for Spring

I'm so excited to introduce you to yet another new bag baby. I know it may seem like I'm investing in a lot of new bags lately but I usually never buying new ones and I wind up wearing the same one nonstop for months on end. After I got that gorgeous little pale pink circle bag, up popped the black and white circle bag and it was only $45 bucks so how could I say no? Then I was vintage shopping and found this beauty for only $24 bucks. It had a pretty hideous leather flower on it but a few seconds with a wire cutter and off it came and the result was gorgeous! I think I'm cut off from bag shopping for awhile now though.

So what I really want to talk to you about is my love for the color yellow. It's seriously one of my favorite colors to wear but I feel like it's really hard to find anything in a really good shade of yellow. Lately I've been seeing a bunch pop up and I thought what better place to share these new found yellow loves than in this post featuring this bright yellow lace top. Its got a knit, tee-shirt material back so it's essentially party in the front, comfy in back. It paired surprisingly well with my new gray shortalls (that I have in two colors btw because they are THAT good) and of course my new vintage bag to complete this ladylike spin on overalls. See, overalls aren't just for toddlers.

Life Lately Spring Update

Truth be told, spring is really kicking the crap out of me. It started with Athena getting yet another ear infection and just when I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel known in the teacher world as Spring break, I was given some super devastating news from a close friend that took me unexpectedly out of state on a red-eye across the country a few days ago. Hopefully I'll be able to share more on that soon because I'm going to need some support from all of you. 

While all this is really making me feel like I've got a huge pit in my stomach, and it's hard to talk about fashion when other things seem so much more important, this little girl right here is my sunshine every damn day. I love her so much and she makes everything seem like it's going to be alright as long as I've got her by my side! I'm so grateful for my little family and this life we have created out here in Utah. 

So with those positive vibes in mind and my sweet little spring chicken in tow, We headed over to the State capitol to see the cherry blossom trees that are in full bloom. Athena had a blast chasing every single puppy she saw and Andrew and I loved this it's still kind of cold outside. We are cold people, it's just the way we are, and I advise you to find someone who shares your liking of the same climate because it's the secret to a good marriage, I swear.

Anyway, I am excited to introduce my new circle bag because she's a real beauty and my first ever item that was monogramed and with my "new" initials. I finally legally changed my last name a few months ago after 6 years of marriage! My circle bag was a steal compared to it's Mansur Gavriel twin that rings in at around $800!

So I hope Spring is treating you kindly  and that you have a great start to your week. I head back to school tomorrow and we are in the home stretch till summer break. It's so close but so far away.
