Athleta Dress

This Athleta dress proved to be a super comfortable option for our 3 hour drive up into the Mountains for Andrew's recent half marathon in Moab. On the way we made the super-healthy (not) choice to try out these spectacular waffles at Waffle Love! If you are ever in the Salt Lake City area, seriously, these are not to be missed. We took our first bite and just kind of looked at each other, like, how is it even possible for something to be so freaking delicious? Yes. THAT good.

Later I found just how powerful the moisture wicking abilities of this sporty dress where when I realized the gooey carmel from the waffle dripped all down my dress. I tried to wash it off but the water just beaded up and rolled off the dress! It needed a solid soak-down to get it clean. But even with that it dried super quick. 

Lesson learned? Waffle eating isn't a sporting event, so don't wear performance gear while eating it, unless you want to come out the other end a sticky mess!

Top 20 On My Mind

Every now and then, I can't keep things I'm interested in buying straight in my head so they blend together in this general want list. Right ow I have cozy sweaters, hats and easy to wear items on my mind. Also a bar cart that I ran into at Target. See? Random.

Outfit like this one make me happy. Any time I can wear a sweatshirt dress and a blanket scarf and look super pulled together, It's a win. It's even better when both pieces cost under $40 bucks total.

This scarf comes in 3 colors and takes all of my willpower to not buy ALL OF THE BLANKET SCARVES! It's true. I have a serious problem. I think I just want to be wrapped in blankets everyday, all day.

Athleta + Zella: Branching Out in Workout Wear

One of my favorite things to do is take workout classes. I make it a priority in my life because I know it keeps me grounded and happy in my otherwise stressful life.

Cute and comfortable workout clothes are also a priority. I used to be a slave to Lululemon, but recently I've been branching out to other brands like Athleta and Zella.

 Athleta is great for affordable and functional tops. I'm partial to these long sleeve tops and these tanks. Zella leggings I can grab from Nordstrom, which is super convenient but my favorite part about these is that they don't fall down! As you can see I'm kind of hip-less so pants tend to sip with lots of jumping. Whenever I know there is a class in my future that involves jumping, I grab these to keep my mind off worrying about my pants during a workout. Who wants that.

Ann Taylor Classic Trench

A classic trench coat is a piece that is unlike any other in your wardrobe. The right one can instantly add class to an otherwise casual outfit. It also makes any day-time outfit look perfectly put together. 

That being said, a great trench is hard to find. In a dream world I would own a Burberry trench and I would simply never replace it, EVER! But I, like probably all of you out there reading this, DO NOT have that kind of budget either.
