Teachers already love Vera bags, but now they come in super chic quilted leather, not just fun patterns. Way to go Vera Bradley for adding a level of chic to my summer handbag game! This Blush color is perfect for my teacher off duty style for the warmer months to come!

This was what I wore to work when I felt like I wanted to be in pajamas all day. This has pretty much been a theme this past year. Lots of workouts and after-school running practices leave me very unmotivated to put a skirt on, or even real pants. So this worked out well, let me tell you. Just throw in a mock turtleneck tee to add some polish and a bright red lip. Comfy central, right here.

Goop Pop-Up Shop Opening

If you haven't heard of Goop before, well It's time you have. Created by Gwyneth Paltrow, this site brings you all the best recommendations on shopping, food, travel and pretty much just life itself! I was lucky enough to come get a pre-opening glimpse inside the beautifully decorated Pop-up shop in Chicago and be treated to a gorgeous breakfast at the Waldorf!

If these pictures prove anything, It's that I'm terrible at getting posts up in a timely fashion because I was walking past the Waldorf Astoria Hotel yesterday, which is where the Goop pop-up shop was located, and it's already gone! That was fast. All the collections can still be found here on Goop's site! I'm enjoying one of these candles right now that you can pick up on Goop too! Enjoy!

Black BCBG Romper

What's that you say? Why yes my hair does look redder and I do look tanner. It's all an illusion. These are actually pictures from last July! But since this romper is older than time, I figured it couldn't get any older really so why now post these long lost photos now that its warmer. I love this romper but when I bought it, it was well before the days that romper were cool and trendy. When I wore it, my friends would ask why I was wearing an adult onsie. But look who was right in the long run. Not everyone likes rompers, they are an acquired taste for sure, but we have always gotten right along. This one is still in the archives of my closet, but don't you worry, it will have many new romper friends to play with this summer like this palm print one and this chambray lace one on the back-burner for warm weekends and Summer break!

If you don't own a pair of these Seville wedges from J. Crew you simply must. There is a reason they have come back in stock every summer for at least the last 3 years. They are so comfortable and mak your legs look muscular and miles long. They are basically magic which is why I bought 2. They are back again here.

I'm not one to style bit, especially from friends. But the moment I saw my friend Peggy carrying this one around, I told her how much I loved it and that it was perfect! The mix of black suede and black leather and the sleek look made it the most adult looking backpack that I have come across! I asked her approval and picked it up for myself! the rest is history.

Well, dang! I better get this outfit post up before Chicago actually decides to warm up! Unlikely, I know. These cooler temps didn't stop me from infusing some warm-weather favorites like these super-steal espadrilles from Target that are the spitting image of these Tory Burch ones (just minus  the 1 before the price, and then some!) into my wardrobe.

I'm also loving these ripped-knee skinnies. They have a high waist and feel super softy and stretchy. Topshop for the win on my long-time search for the perfect black jeans with holes in the knees!

You will all have to forgive me for the lack of posts lately. the end of the school year is coming and life is insane. I just have to make it till the end of June and then I'll be living the good life! 

Genius Stripes and Denim Pencil Skirt

This striped sweater is kinda genius. The stripes are broken up with blocks of navy blue to give the horizontal lines a flattering shape. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a crop top on shorter ladies, but it fits like one on me, which went perfectly with this distressed denim pencil skirt from my favorite summer time shop, Joe Fresh. Basically, it's the perfect casual Friday outfit.
