Well hello again. Sorry for the silence but getting internet into this house we bought has been a royal pain! Still not done yet but this is the best I could do. Oh yeah, in related news, we bought a house! As some of you may know who follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (UN: Hotpinkstyle) I've been busy at work painting this place and getting it all styled up.

So we are loving the house! It has old character (built in the same year my dad was born, '42) but with a recent face lift. It was flipped and we are the first to live in it since the remodel which leaves us with a pretty facade but whoever did the work was DUMB! We have been busy getting repairs done and other nonsense that come with the joys of homeownership.

We drove to Salt Lake and stopped along the way meeting and staying with friends and family which made it such a memorable experience. I got so sick on Thanksgiving and was terrible company when staying with Andrew's uncle. Turns out eating exclusively from gas stations is NOT good for you, but we had no choice, it was all that was open on Thanksgiving day while we drove.

Anyway I've been adjusting surprisingly well, at least by my standards. I guess I have so much to keep me busy, but we will see how I'm feeling in a few weeks. I'm not teaching out here...yet. Not sure when I'll get the urge to scratch that itch but I'm really just enjoying living life at a slower pace for a bit.

Looking at this outfit in today's blog post feels like a lifetime ago. I wore it to school and it was still warm enough to go bare legged to work. I recall my husband asking me if i was aware that I forgot my pants when he shot this. Funny guy.

Currently we are surrounded by about a foot of some of the prettiest snow I have ever had dropped on my doorstep. It's like "movie" snow. Also the scenery here is just outstanding. We have a great view out our kitchen and living room window which make getting up pretty easy in the morning.

My days are going something like this lately, Get up. Make some really fabulous coffee in a glorious extended fashion in our new Chemex. Then drive Andrew to work so I can have the car for the day. After that I head over to Bar Method for my daily wake-up workout and then I'm off to explore or stay home to wait for a contractor, delivery or repair service of some sort. We have also been trying out lots of local restaurants and having some great dates!

We are both meeting lots of fun people and are not at all bored. In fact I think I'm out and about more here than I was in Chicago. So while I'll always miss Chicago, I really am happy here and think this was such a great move for us.  I'll keep updating you on life out here as I go. Till then, hopefully you can endure the remainder of outfit photos from Chicago because I've pretty much been wearing workout clothes since moving here!

This is my version of a little Fall preview even though I wore this outfit in the early parts of the summer since it was so chilly back then. Remember that? It was only a few weeks ago and we are headed right back to those temps soon.

This sweatshirt was a steal from the Zara sale earlier this summer so I'm sorry to say, it's no longer available. But if you're feeling splurgy, there is always this one.

This bag was a free gift with purchase at the incredible Rebecca Minkoff store in Soho. Has anyone been there? It's so cool how the mirrors detect the products you're holding and displays them on screen in the fitting rooms so you can virtually try on the other colors. You can even order up a drink from the store mirrors and try out different types of lighting! So cool. By far the most high-tech fashion related store I have ever been in. It's like the Apple store and purses had a baby. You must visit next time you're in NYC!

Thanks to Lauren for the photos.

Dress: Zara (sold out online) // Heels: Zara (from last season)// Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Jules satchel c/o Shopbop // Hat: Forever 21 // Sunglasses: eBay (less then $3)

This yellow flora Zara dress is so cheery and fun, not to mention it's my favorite color to wear next to pink. Another bonus is that it's really comfy and easy to wear. Dresses are the best for summer time! They are pretty much all I wear all summer long when I'm not wearing workout clothes. I love being able to throw a single piece on and being done! Add in a few dressed-up accessories like this sun hat and a great bag like this Rebecca Minkoff Jules satchel, and your set!

Thanks to my super talented friend Ashley for these pictures!

Olive Moto Jacket

Sunglasses: Forever 21 // Jacket: Forever 21 // Shirt: Zara // Pants: Forever 21 // Purse: Aldo (old but similar here) // Lips: Nars "Heatwave" // Shoes: Target

This was what I wore to work when I felt like I wanted to be in pajamas all day. This has pretty much been a theme this past year. Lots of workouts and after-school running practices leave me very unmotivated to put a skirt on, or even real pants. So this worked out well, let me tell you. Just throw in a mock turtleneck tee to add some polish and a bright red lip. Comfy central, right here.

I'm a HUGE sucker for Zara outerwear. They make it too good to pass up as you can see by the fact that all of my outer layers are from Zara. Their scarves are just the best. I really don't know how they do it every time. This scarf is actually still available and light enough for spring.

Have a great Monday! I'm excited to start the Bar Method aMAYzing challenge today! 21 classes in 30 days, but let's be real, with prizes and an adult incentive sticker chart for stars-per-class, I may just shoot for all 30. Maybe you should try it out too!

My puffer coats have made more appearances in my posts than I would care to see, but thats just how it's been. Every time I hang it up, its right back out in rotation. At least this one isn't black. Little victories...
