Hot Pink Pleats

I still have a few days until I have to go back to work but looking at these pics of a work outfit is kind of making me cringe. I have been enjoying winter break so much I wish I never had to go back. If only there was a way to still get paid and not go to work... hmmm.

This is one of three of this J Crew skirt I own, although it's the first time I've worn it (see how I styled my cabernet one here). I don't know why its taken me so long to wear considering I bought in in September but it's now finally made its way out into public! I pretty much wore it all day without the herringbone jacket but I think it made it look more complete for pictures.

This is my second one of this exact sweater. The first was one of those mysterious disappearances that happen in everyone's closet from time to time. My closet is so organized that I refused to give up on the hope of it turning back up. 

Months passed and still no sweater. 

Luckily, INC from Macy's puts out a new addition of this sweater every winter. So I asked for it for my birthday, and now the void has been filled.

It's the sweater I always turn to when I need something chic and cozy to help when I'm feeling uninspired or rushed in the morning. It has a great drape to it and the shawl collar is heavy yet soft so it falls in a very flattering way. One step up from the average cardigan.

I was in a hurry to get ready this particular morning and I came up with this pretty basic look. But let me tell you: mighty comfy! I kind of felt like I was walking around in my pajamas all day. I jazzed it up with this sparkly necklace from Forever 21 that I had been eyeing on a few of my favorite bloggers.

J Crew, I Love You!

This outfit is proof of the J Crew rampage I have been on recently. Those folks have been putting out a new sale every few day! How is a girl supposed to resist such fabulous colors and prints?! AND the 15% teacher discount? I mean really, I had no choice! 

I still haven't worn the hot pink version (on sale!!) of this skirt which is just a shame, but I hope it will come out soon. Probably with this same belt but a navy painters tee instead of this trusty snowcat button-down.
