J. Crew Linen Chevron Dress

This casual dress was worn on my family trip to Vegas when I walked over to the Spa at the Paris Hotel for a morning of pampering. The perfect leisurely dress for an early morning stroll down the strip.

By the way, I searched high and low for the perfect orangy red lipstick that was somewhere between my two old favs,  Smashbox's "Mandarin" and Nars' "Heatwave" and finally found this amazing color!

Overall French

I have had this J. Crew popover for quite a long time but had to wait till summer to wear it. You see while in school I had big plans to wear it with my red ASOS scuba midi, but then upon further inspection of all the cute little French icons, I noticed one was a champagne bottle. Oops! Not exactly what you want your child's teacher to be wearing around the classroom. I could only imagine the questions I would have received from my students because they notice EVERYTHING! No detail too small.

I saved it up and paired it with an equally inappropriate teacher clothing item, overalls. Shorts overalls none the less.

Marine Print Dress

As you can tell I'm totally on board with the swingy summer dress trend. I'm actually doing ok with them considering how shapeless they make me feel. They are just so darn easy and comfy I can't resist. I'm pretty much against anything that has more than an elastic waist band until school starts back up. Till then I'll be sticking to floaty dresses, maxis and rompers! And since summer is coming to an end there are so many great pieces on sale now too, so stock up.
