Peplum Lady

Some pieces you've just got to hold on to. I've had This peplum skirt since before I even knew what peplum was and certainly before peplum became a trend! I picked it up at H&M long ago and has held it's ground through many a closet clean out. Sometimes you just get it right and a piece works for years!

Romper Obsession

My new-found obsession with rompers is no joke. I may have a problem. In fact I really do have a problem. Where do I keep them? I didn't really have a romper section in my closet but now I have to make room. 

You see, after seeing Soraya of the blog Chic Flavours wearing them and rocking a romper like she was born to wear them, I gave her the nickname "romper queen". It was only fitting that my romper post included her. I mean she is the queen after all. And have you seen those legs? I mean, come on! As for my outfit, I saw this red romper on ASOS site while they were having their Memorial Day weekend sale and added it to the many other rompers in my cart. I secretly hoped it wouldn't fit when it arrived because it was the most expensive of the bunch. But sure enough, it was perfection. I loved that it is tailored and made of more of a structured fabric and serves as my most professional romper if that's even a thing. Shop some of the other rompers I have my eye on below!

Anthropologie Dress Deals

I was so very excited to get this dress on sale that I put it on hold and then sent my husband to pick it up that day...on his birthday. I mean you have you act fast when a dress like this goes on sale. And really it's his fault for working so close to the Anthropologie in Block 37. It just made sense.

One of my favorite and most shared shopping secrets is that Anthropologie slashes it's prices the first Tuesday of the month every month! The Fresh cuts are affordable and plentiful and that is just the way I like things at Anthro. Creative With Black and White

I figure I better post this outfit before summer weather pops back in for a moment. Since there is is still a lingering chill in the air I'm trying to get some final wears out of my lighter sweaters before they get tucked away for next winter. 

I decided to have fun with black and white color blocking and prints. they mixed so well and looked great with my quilted Michael Kors trench coat. I added in these retro shades to keep the outfit fun. lesson learned mix every and any fabulous pieces in black and white and you can never go wrong!

Bucket Bag for Brunch

It was a beautiful Sunday, unfortunately this was the only part of it I was able to enjoy! I woke up with a mission to finish my final paper for an ESL endorsement class I was taking. I didn't want to have to worry about it all week so I set out to finish by the days end. That said, I gave myself a treat to start the day and headed to Meli for brunch with my husband! After that it was 8 hours of boring paper writing! Blah! Thank goodness that's over.
