I have learned this lesson too many times to make a mistake now. If you see something at Zara that you love, especially a scarf that you feel may start to gain a small cult-like following, you buy it. You don't question it's price. You just BUY IT. And then, in just a few short weeks, when it's sold out in stores,  you notice that it starts popping up on some of your favorite bloggers , Block 37 add campaigns, and is going for twice its selling price on eBay. Then you remind yourself it was all worth it and you made the right decision.

I love when nearly all of my outfit was scored at sale prices! Especially this LOFT camo skirt. This sweatshirt with a mix of fabrics was also a sale find from J. Crew as well as the necklace.

This is what I wore to school and then after to our Anniversary dinner. My husband said he wanted to take pictures back at the place we took some of our favorite wedding pictures. So romantic sometimes that guy!

This sweater has some great movement to it and made for some dramatic walks down the school hallway as well as lake side windy posing. If you would like to feel infinitely cooler when you walk, pick up this Forever 21 sweater. You wont be sorry.

Zara makes such one of a kind pieces, its almost impossible to turn them down sometimes. This asymmetrical tie neck blouse for example, once spotted, had to become mine. And with it being under $40 it was even better. 

This good old J. Crew skirt was the perfect compliment to the dusty shade of blue in the top. Since I own this skirt in 3 colors and its a staple in my closet, I'm happy that J. Crew came out with this years version in a bunch of fun colors. Pick one up for 25% off for a limited time!

LOFT Flippy Skirt and Other Favorites

This little LOFT tweed flippy skirt is becoming a fall favorite, fast! It's bordering on the almost inappropriate line of shortness with my tall frame so I classed it up with a blouse and jacket. Whenever I want to get away with wearing one of my shorter skirts to work this is always the way I solve it. Keeping the top half completely covered up with nothing too tight makes the look balance out. And if you just cant deal with a shortish hemline then this skirt is perfection. both have an insanely comfortable flat yet slightly elastic waist band too. What could be better then comfort mixed with great style?

Can we also take a moment to talk about this statement necklace, also from LOFT . It has a feather-like appearance and I'm pretty sure every one of my students wanted to touch it. Just the look of it alone is a tactile sensation. 

Since I have a mild obsession with outerwear,  I also fell a little bit in love with a few more LOFT beauties while in store. This coat that gives you an instant Olivia Pope boost, this fuzzy little moto jacket can be an indoor/outdoor staple, an this coatigan (yup, it's called a coatigan, a mix of a coat and cardigan) is a must.
