Forever 21 Floral Maxi

When wearing a dress with 2 major slits to teach, it was mandatory to class it up by throwing a blazer on it. It totally made it look professional. Sans blazer, this is the perfect summer dress. And how do you argue with a price tag less than $17! Quite the Summer steal if I do say so myself.

Side by Side: Braids

It's only fitting that I post this today considering tonight I will be learning some new braid styles with Sara  of Project Soiree at Gold Plaited! Dont be fooled by my braiding skills pictured below. This is the full extent of those skills, not to mention I had loads of time to make this one look this good because it was done last summer on vacation in Greece, hence all the pretty flowers behind me!

Striped Dress

This random warm weather really throws me for a loop when getting dressed in the morning. How hot will it be? Will it drop by night time? Who knows! 

I began digging out old summer clothes to accommodate these types of days and came across this dress from Joe Fresh last year. To make it seem different than other times I had worn it, I added this vintage dragonfly scarf that I picked up at the Randolph Street Market! Another great and comfy old purchase was these tiger loafers from Zara last year.

Overalls For Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend for me is sweet little tease as to what summer will hold. Especially for all you teachers out there. With the school year just a few (loooong) weeks away from ending, I'm itching to wear some super casual clothes full time! I gave in to a little preview of that soon-to-be lifestyle with this little overalls outfit. I have to admit, I'm loving this overalls trend so much right now.

Here's to barbecues, relaxing and doing a whole lot of nothing. Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!

Floral Pencil Skirt

Just like yesterday's post, this is another Anthropologie pencil skirt for the books. I've had this skirt since last summer but for some reason never wore it. It screams spring so I think I may have just been waiting for the perfect spring day to wear it.

Neon & Floral

This skirt is one of those purchases I made years ago and never really wore too much because I couldn't figure out what to wear with it. As it turns out I have found that neon yellow is its perfect compliment. This one will go down in my pencil skirt hall of fame for even more years to come.

Orange Midi Skirt

Just like all my other Boohoo buys, this orange midi skirt didn't disappoint either. Their prices are almost too good to be true for the quality of their pieces. I recently also bought this floral romper from them and it was equally as adorable. White Jeans & Stripes

Still riding high on my recent white jean success. I finally have a pair that looks and fits great. It wasn't till later in the day that I realized I was wearing head-to-toe Zara.  All from various seasons too.I guess that just goes to show how great so many of their pieces are. on a sad note these sunnies are in a few pieces. I smashed them into the car roof while on top of my head and the lense popped off. Hopefully some super glue will bring them back to life!

Pleated Faux-Leather Skirt

Don't judge this pleated skirt by all its wrinkles from a long day of teaching and talent show dance practices. It was a great find from one of my favorite guilty pleasure stores, JC Penny. I think I even scored it for under $18 bucks too. The best way to wear a faux-leather skirt to work as a school teacher is to have one that comes in a longer length like this one. I'd even go as far as saying it passed as professional looking.
