This sweater has made quite a few appearances  since picking it up at forever 21. I know, right! Can you believe its from Forever 21? It's the perfect mix of baggy and long so it works with jeans or leggings and you still feel covered up. No exposed backside and I'm a tall lady! This outfit pretty much sums up all my casual Fridays's at work.

Speaking of casual, I hope you are all off work today and doing something relaxing before the thanksgiving madness. My family, including the niece and nephew will be running a 5k on Thanksgiving morning! 2nd year in a row earning that meal!

I've been waiting for a chance to non ironically wear this plaid moto jacket I picked up at Forever 21. You see, it worked really well with my Halloween costume when I was Paul Bunyan at school.  The costume was pretty great if you want to check it out here.

I love the combo of bright primary colors, and yellow is my second favorite color so you can only imagine how happy I was to find this lone cashmere sweater at the new Nordstrom Rack opening in South Loop on the clearance rack for under $40!

On a personal side note, in an effort to maintain my sanity this winter I'm going to cut back to 3 posts a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I'm going to soon be overwhelmed with home projects so I'll be very busy. And if you have any great home decor/furniture sites you love, I'm in the market, so please feel free to share! I can't help but feel like a stylish version of the Hamburgular when I wear this turtleneck but it always comes in handy as an interesting layer for a cold weather outfit. You can get one that looks identical to mine (because mine is from last year) here. 

You can also pick up this fab deep berry lip color that is perfect for winter and Fall. For those of you who know me in person, you know that I can identify lip colors on people with scary accuracy. I have always coveted the color "Rebel" by MAC and when I went in to retry it on for the 5th time after spotting it on countless other people, I saw this color that is almost identical except for the fact that it's matte, which I love. With a matte color I feel you get more accurate long lasting color and you can always add a bit of Rosebud Salve on top, my personal favorite, for moisture. Also a matte color is less sticky so it won't get all globbed up on your scarves and coat collars this winter when you are all bundled up. Give this color a shot if your in the market for a new lipstick!

A dress with sleeves is pretty much the best thing ever. A cute dress with sleeves is not always so easy to find though. This one I'm wearing is so soft and cozy and also has lots of stretch to it. Currently I'm coveting this one here. I love wearing a faux-fur vest over dresses like these when the temps drop. You can even throw on a pair of tights with boots and be good to go.

These pictures are from the naked-legs days of the early part of the school year. The sun was still shining and socks were not needed. Even though I love these shoes, I constantly get strange looks from my students when I wear them, often hearing "why are you wearing tap shoes" or "teacher, those are boys shoes." I've said it before and I'll say it again. Those kids just don't get fashion.

This top is way cooler than me but something inside me said I needed to have it when I saw it. Something black and floral had been on my wish list for awhile now. When I saw a girl carrying this top around at the pop-up shop at the Akira fashion show I had to have her show me where it came from. Thank goodness there was one left in my size. 

And since I'm a sucker for hats, which my mom just told me I have always been a huge fan of, even as a kid,  I had to get this beanie and it's olive green twin because they were buy one get one half off! Needless to say, they have been getting serious use with this cold weather coming around. I even wear them indoors around my house and school. True story. They are so cozy I forget I'm wearing them.

I LOVE this cape. Really and truly. It was one of those things where I tried it on and knew I had to have it. I have other capes, lots of them. But this one was different. The color is perfection and the details, down to the contrasting inside lining had me at first glance. It was over before it began. I have pretty much been wearing it every day to work. It's so easy to throw over a big bulky sweater and still be able to bend my arms driving to work. It's basically a blanket with arm holes and I'm not mad about that at all.

I am a little mad at the price of mine, but I found you some at much more reasonable prices!
